Mr. Lee is a Managing Director with Applied Economics LLC, providing business valuation and transfer pricing services. Mr. Lee has performed valuation services for a variety of purposes, including acquisition purchase price allocations, estate and gift planning appraisals, estate tax appraisals, transaction fairness opinions, solvency opinions, lost profits/economic damages analyses, and valuations of intangible assets.
Mr. Lee has extensive experience in the appraisal of various types of business interests including: closely-held family businesses and family limited partnerships, private-equity backed businesses, minority interests, restricted or thinly-traded public stock, large blocks of publicly traded securities, multiple classes of preferred and common stock in complex capital structures, secured and subordinated debt instruments, stock options and warrants, ESOP adequate consideration and annual update valuations, franchises, and foreign-domiciled corporations.
Additionally, Mr. Lee has performed transfer pricing studies for publicly‐traded and independent businesses in a wide range of industries. Mr. Lee’s transfer pricing studies have been used to assist clients with domestic and international cross‐border transactions in accordance with IRS and OECD transfer pricing guidelines.
Mr. Lee’s industry experience includes agribusiness, chemical and compounding, construction, defense contractors, distribution, education, entertainment, financial services, insurance, healthcare and pharmaceutical, hospitality, manufacturing, media and publishing, and telecommunications.
Prior to joining Applied Economics, Mr. Lee was an associate with Banco BASE, S.A. (formerly BASE Internacional Casa de Bolsa, S.A. de C.V.), a foreign exchange brokerage firm based in Monterrey, Mexico.
