Mr. Herndon is a director at Applied Economics and is responsible for handling investment banking services to clients needing merger and acquisition advisory, capital raise, financial restructuring, and other corporate finance services. In addition, he oversees the business development efforts for the firm.
Mr. Herndon has spent nearly 30 years in capital markets, most of which have been on Wall Street. He has been involved in over 50 international and domestic M&A transactions ranging in value from $10 million to over $1 billion and capital raises for businesses seeking $5 million to $50 million in equity, debt or both.
Prior to joining Applied Economics, Mr. Herndon worked with Daiwa Securities America, an international investment bank based in Tokyo, Japan, GE Capital as a manager of alternative investments, and PwC as a manager in their financial advisory services business, among other investment banking roles. The majority of Mr. Herndon’s transactions have been in manufacturing, business services, food and beverage.
Mr. Herndon holds various positions with community organizations in and around Atlanta. His involvement in the academic community includes being on boards and delivering guest lectures at Emory University, Brenau University, GA State University, and University of Central Florida (UCF).
